What kind of turnaround time do you have?
Typical turnaround time for routine repairs is 24 hours. NOTE: Due to supply issues and other current circumstances, turnaround times may be longer than normal.
What methods of payment do you accept?
Money orders, business/personal check, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, debit card, PayPal.
How old of a cluster can you fix?
We typically work with clusters 1999 & up. Anything older than that is considered a project. Projects usually include longer turnaround time and increased price. Please give us a call for all inquiries regarding older vehicles. (859-582-8235)
Can you adjust miles according to what I need?
Please refer to odometer form & the lawful reasons we provide this service. We are a legal repair shop.
What happens if we receive your cluster & find nothing wrong?
We will notify you of the tests we have done & try to make suggestions from there. There is a $65 diagnostic fee.
What happens if I have an oil sending unit issue on my vehicle in addition to gauge issues?
In the event that you suspect a bad oil sending unit, turn your key on (not the engine, just the key). If the needle pegs to 80, that is a sure indication of a bad oil sending unit. If you’d like any other reassurance, a quick scan with a diagnostic scan tool can show any codes that may be related to this same issue. But please be aware that there can be a combination of gauge issues & sending unit issues in the same cluster.
If you have a faulty gauge AND a sending unit issue, we can fix the gauge, but not the issue on the vehicle. Therefore, the gauge in question may still act faulty until the sending unit issue is fixed.
What happens if I have a fuel sending unit issue on my vehicle in addition to faulty gauges?
Similar to having a bad oil sending unit, the gauge cluster will act a certain way. A quick way to test this is to allow the vehicle to run with fuel in the tank -- if the gauge stays at empty & the low fuel light is on, this signifies a possible bad fuel sending unit.
As stated above, there can be both gauge cluster problems & sending unit problems. If you’d like to confirm for sure, a diagnostic scan tool can help find codes & confirm any additional issues. Please be aware that the cluster may continue to act up even after a rebuild until the additional issues are addressed.
